Virtual Fitting
Virtual Fitting
If you are looking to buy a harness/coat/muzzle but unsure which style or size would best suit your dog, and cannot make it into the shop for a fitting, we offer a virtual fitting service. To book a virtual fitting, follow the steps below!
Virtual fittings cost £5.00. The fee is for the knowledge of the staff member and the time it will take them to review the photos and measurements, compare to the various styles and sizes of apparel we offer, and liaise with you over email or phone to find the perfect fit.
For Harnesses/Coats
After purchasing this virtual product, email info@eatplaylove.shop with the following information:
Clear photos of your dog:
-
- From above (looking down at them)
- From the front (looking at their front-chest)
- From the side (so that we can see how long their body is)
Measurements of your dog's:
- Back length (measured from the nape of the neck - where the shoulder blades start - to the base of the tail)
- Neck circumference (measured at widest part of neck, at the bottom of their neck below where a collar would sit - as this is where the harness should sit - on their clavicle)
- Rib cage circumference (measured at the widest part of the rib cage - this should be about a hand's width away from the dog's armpit)
Any other relevant information:
- If your dog has escaped from previous harnesses
- If they dislike having their harness go over their head.
- If they flinch when the sound of the clasp is done up.
- If you have a specific brand in mind*
- If there is specific colour/pattern you'd like
- Your budget
*Please note we do not sell no-pull harnesses as these are harnesses that are designed to restrict the dog's movement (and thus can cause discomfort, pain, impact their gait, and cause injury). All of our harnesses are H-style (aka Y-style) as they do not restrict movement.
For Muzzles
After purchasing this virtual product, email info@eatplaylove.shop with the following information:
Clear photos of your dog's head:
- From above
- From the front
- From the side
Measurements of your dog's:
- Head Length (measured from the back of their ears to the bridge of their nose)
- Muzzle/Snout Length (measured from the bridge of their snout to the tip of their nose)
- Muzzle/Snout height (measured with the mouth slightly open)
- Muzzle/Snout circumference (measured around the widest part of their snout)
- Neck circumference (measured around where the neck strap would sit)
Any other relevant information:
- Why your dog needs a muzzle. For example, if it is to prevent scavenging behaviour on walks or because they are a bite risk.
What happens next?
- We’ll then email you the links to the most suitable products.
- When you buy the harness, we will set it at the size we think your dog needs to try and make the initial fitting process easier for you both.
- You can send pictures to us to check the fitting and suggest what adjustments need to be made.
