Collection: Enrichment

Encouraging your dog to sniff and lick (and your cat to lick and scratch) helps them to reduce boredom and relieve stress. Enrichment toys do just that! Great for mental stimulation or when you need to calm or distract your pet from stressful things in the environment (fireworks, grooming, etc.) Try freezing a lick mat or kong to increase the challenge or as a nice cooling treat on a hot day!

In addition to using your pet's food, here are some ideas for solid and spreadable foods to try in enrichment toys!

For dogs

Spreadable options include: peanut butter (dog-safe), low-fat plain yogurt, kefir, liver paste, JR pate, coconut oil, bone broth, tinned sardines, honey, banana, pumpkin or sweet potato puree! Cheese is OK too in moderation but opt for those low in lactose and salt (note: may cause upset tummy in some dogs).
Solid options include: chicken, salmon, eggs, steak, broccoli, green beans, carrots, peas, cucumber, celery, apple, raspberries, blueberries, pineapple, melon.

For cats

Arden grange or Trixie liver paste
