Collection: Natural Chews

Chewing is great for physical and mental stimulation, dental care, and it also has a calming effect. Always give chews supervised! A sensible chewer will hold the chew with their front paws and chew with their back teeth, and not swallow large pieces whole.

Puppies

Giving your dog chews from a young age helps them learn how to chew sensibly. This will mean that they are unlikely to want to swallow chews whole as they get older and will take their time with chewing. For puppies we recommend, bladder twists, lamb braids, puffed pig snouts, tendons, cow ears, puffed chicken feet, bully danglers, hairy rabbit ears, venison skin, wild boar skin, and hooves. For more experienced chewers, try pizzles, collagen, small camel braid, small camel skin, and bully beef!

Senior dogs

Chews that are great for protecting joints are poultry necks (high in glucosamine) and beef tracheas (high in chondroitin and collagen).

Dogs who need softer chews

Chewing on harder chews can help teething puppies, but if their teeth are particularly sensitive they might prefer softer chews for a bit. Softer chews are also great for older dogs who have started to lose their teeth or having dental pain. Try bladder twists, lamb braids, tripe sticks, puffed pig snouts, salmon skin rolls, and collagen!

Larger breeds, Bully breeds

Chews that are safe for larger breeds or those with strong jaws: beef bark, camel braids or rolls, cow ears.

Brachycephalic breeds

Chews that are safe for dogs with short snouts include paddywack, lung, buffalo rolls, beef bark. But if the pieces gets too small, please discard.

Long-lasting chews

Will differ slightly from dog to dog, but try beef bark, beef shin, collagen, long bully beef, buffalo ears, tendons, and camel rolls!

Dogs with digestive issues

Avoid fattier/oiler chews, and stick to leaner chews such as Ostrich, White fish, Venison, and Rabbit. Hairy chews are great for flushing out the digestive tract and can act as a natural dewormer. Marrow is great for binding tummies.

Dogs with allergies

Opt for animals that are less commercially produced, such as game.

Cats

For Cats, we suggest Hairy Rabbit Ears. They might need a little time to understand what to do with the chew, so you might need to be quite playful with it at first to get them interested and chewing.
